For ailing economies ravaged by the crisis, funding from institutions like the International Monetary Fund would go a long way to stabilizing their economies.
However, where does the Fund get its funds? From a group of countries who serve as the Fund's creditors. In line with this, Brazil was recently reported to be interested in the aforementioned creditors' group. The country will be able to add an additional $4.5 billion to the fund.
